CHELSEA RANSOM: SWIMMING FOR A MATE

Last month we announced Chelsea Ransom as one of our Go Harder comp runners-up. On 12 January 2014 she’s doing the 2km open water swim at Sorrento Bay which attracts 600 swimmers every year. We helped her out with $500 worth of travel to get there.

But we’ve since found out Chelsea’s participation isn’t just a personal goal – she’s dedicating her swim to her friend Emily who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has undergone a mastectomy and chemotherapy.  Chelsea’s now trying to raise $500 to support Emily – donations can be made via her fund-raising page.

So not only is she pushing herself with the longest ocean swim than she’s ever done, but she’s got a higher purpose in her sights.

Good luck with those lunchtime and after-work training sessions Chelsea, and with reaching your $500 fund-raising goal.  Smash that swim girl!
